Day 3 – Kuttu & Lauki Cheela with Green Chutney



Kuttu & Lauki Cheela is light crisp and quietly nourishing. Buckwheat flour bring earthy depth while lauki adds gentle freshness that keep it soft yet wholesome. Golden at the rim, tender inside, every cheela feel like warm hug during fasting days.

Paired with bright green chutney it become more than meal — it is special recipe for fasting in navratri that keep flavour simple but never boring. The chutney’s sharpness cut through the cheela making each bite lively.

This navratri fasting recipe show that food made with few ingredients still can taste comforting and indulgent.

Ingredients (for 4 cheelas)

For Green Chutney

Process

  1. In a bowl mix kuttu atta lauki chilli ginger coriander and rock salt. Add a little water if needed to form a smooth batter.
  2. Heat a pan grease with ghee and spread a ladle of batter into a round cheela. Cook on medium flame till golden then flip and cook the other side.
  3. For chutney blend coriander mint chilli salt and lemon juice into a fine paste.
  4. Serve hot cheelas with refreshing green chutney.

Crispy outside and soft inside with a cooling chutney to balance the earthy flavour of kuttu.
