Day 6 – Sweet Potato & Coconut Halwa



Sweet Potato & Coconut Halwa is comfort dressed like celebration. Shakarkandi gives natural sweetness that melt into richness of ghee, while grated coconut bring soft bite and little tropical note. Cardamom whisper fragrance and nuts on top add festive crunch.

What make this a navratri fasting recipe to remember is how it feel hearty but never heavy. Every spoon taste warm and soothing yet still indulgent enough to call it dessert.

A fasting recipe for navratri that prove even simple roots and coconut can turn into something truly special.

Ingredients (serves 3)

Process

  1. Heat ghee in a pan add grated sweet potato and sauté for 2 minutes.
  2. Add milk and cook on medium flame till it thickens.
  3. Stir in jaggery powder and cook till well combined.
  4. Add grated coconut and cardamom. Mix gently and cook for 2–3 more minutes.
  5. Garnish with nuts and serve warm.

A unique halwa with the natural sweetness of shakarkandi balanced by the richness of coconut.
