Day 9 – Sama Rice & Veggie Bowl with Lemon Curd Dressing



Sama Rice & Veggie Bowl is light colourful and refreshing. Sama rice form the fluffy base while cubes of sweet potato cucumber and handful of pomegranate add brightness. Roasted peanuts sprinkle on top for crunch and lemon curd dressing bring creamy zest that tie everything together.

What make this a special recipe for fasting in navratri is its balance — nourishing but indulgent, simple but still feel celebratory. One bowl that look vibrant like the final day of navratri itself.

For Lemon Curd Dressing

Process

  1. In a mixing bowl combine cooked sama rice sweet potato cucumber pomegranate and peanuts. Toss lightly.
  2. Whisk curd with lemon juice cumin salt and pepper for the dressing.
  3. Pour the dressing over the rice bowl and mix gently.
  4. Garnish with fresh coriander and serve chilled or at room temperature.

A wholesome festive bowl that is light fresh and satvik yet filled with colours of celebration.
